You must show your library card every time you borrow materials.
A date card will be placed in the pocket of every item you check out. It will be stamped with the date that the item is due back at the library.
Most library materials circulate (are checked out) for three (3) weeks.
Videos & DVD’s circulate (are checked out) for one (1) week.
Items cataloged as Reference do not circulate at all and may be used in the Library only.
Renewing Library Materials
All materials may be renewed once (in person, by phone, or online) if there are no pending requests. To renew materials online, view the Online Account instructions or go directly to My Account. You will need a unique 4-digit pin number which can be acquired when you sign up for your library card, or you may request us to add it to your account at any time (in person w/ID proof).
Returning Library Materials
Books may be returned inside during open hours or dropped in the outside bookdrop during closed hours. All Audio/Visual materials must be returned inside, not in the bookdrop, because they are fragile and are easily damaged.
Items are due back on or before the due date. If they are returned late, an overdue fine will be charged.
Fines are 15¢ per item, per open day for everything except Videos & DVD’s. Fines for these are 50¢ per item, per open day.
If you damage or lose library materials, you will be charged current replacement costs plus any overdue fines.
If you have overdue, lost, damaged items or outstanding fines, you will not be allowed to check out additional materials or access our Public Computers until your account is cleared of all charges.
